A earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.2 hit Santa Clara County today around 8:33 this morning. According to U.S Geological Survey no injuries or damages reported, the epicenter was four miles deep and nine miles northwest of San Jose city hall.

Highway 9 was closed yesterday, several trees had fallen onto the roadway overnight due to the wind and rain. Caltrans crews closed the road inorder to clear the street up.

131 passengers abroad a U.S Air jet were killed yesterday when a plane crashed outside Pittsburg while preparing to land.
