According to a San Jose Mercury news article, thursday night around 7:00 pm a 15 year old boy was stabbed to death in East San Jose. The police recieved a call stating that two young men 15, and 16 were involved in a stabbing on Kollmar Drive and Story road. Both victims were taken to the hosiptal where the 15 year old was pronounced dead. The victims identity has yet to be released.This past thursdays homicide was the second killing in the past week. Unfortuantely the cause of the stabbing has not yet been developed, but the city's police department is doing the best that they can to bring these boys families closure. In my opinion I feel that we all need to be aware of our surroundings and our young ones. People take things such as life forgranted by taking other people lives, we seem to loose our faith in one another and thats why so many deaths have being happening day after after day.
This story is very important because its about the surrondings of local residents of San Jose, Ca. Not only do thousands of residents reside here in San Jose,but these are people children that are being affected and as you can see life threatening. This story is newsworhty because its a story that readers can personally connect themselves with. The story is very much compelling to its readers because innocent lives are being taken away on a daily basis and you never know it could be one of your own.

You need to work on your proofreading/editing skills. This assignment has a lot of errors, including grammar and spelling errors and AP style errors. That is what is bringing down your grade. I will review those errors in an email to you.
