In today’s religious society it has been said that the clash between Christianity and Homosexuality has become a major problem. The question that seems to be unanswered is whether or not it is a sin to be homosexual. The way that the society views homosexuals, has become very uncomfortable for many people. The fact that degradation is being allowed worries me the most. Homosexual are normal human being who just favor the same sex and shouldn’t be punished for their likings. Unfortunately it isn’t that simple and they too have to face the horrible reality called life. Combining homosexuality with Christianity causes thorough examination and personal opinion. Through concise research I have found that the incongruence between the two will forever be unknown. Although there is said to be some hope in changing the ways churches and Christians handle their opposition towards homosexuals, I feel that peace will never be held due the beliefs that Christians hold.

My index tells me that I need to work on my writing. I feel that the paper I chose to use wasnt one of my greatest papers. After learning exactly what the fog index is I now know how I can better improve the areas in which I'm slacking.

I think 8.4 is rather low for this piece. I think it's closer to 13. You might want to try recalculating, or use an online FOG Index calculator like this one.
ReplyDeleteWhat I see is that this piece is pretty wordy ... to the point that it is sometimes unclear what you are trying to say.
For example, I don't think the combination of homosexuality and Christianity "causes thorough examination and personal opinion." However, a conflict between someone's experience and Christian teachings may cause that person to rethink their opinions or beliefs.
I think a great exercise for you would be to take this paragraph and edit it. See if you can make it shorter and more clear. Email your edited version to me and I'll give you some feedback on how you did.
